Utility Services
Our Utility Crews take great pride in their work. We have the equipment and skills to clear and build access in most any condition. We utilize specialized forestry equipment where, in some instances, we have created better stabilization than prior to clearing.
Our area of expertise is land clearing, roadside or cross country, mostly for providers of electrical transmission lines or distribution lines. We have provided clearing and access road services near, under, and around energized 500kV, 230kV, 115kV and lower kV transmission lines, as well as energized distribution lines. Our customers for these types of clearing projects include companies such as Georgia Transmission Corporation, Georgia Power, and as subcontractors for Pike Electric on MEAG projects and various other line contractors and projects. Our contracts have ranged from $25,000.00 to over $1,000,000.00.
Whenever possible, Charles Wells Services Inc utilizes chip for stabilization during clearing operations due to the low impact to the environment. Our equipment is state of the art, late model, and environmentally friendly. While utilizing drive?to?tree mulchers, feller bunchers with positive control cutting heads, and other low ground pressure equipment, we are more than capable when it comes to hand clearing and removal in sensitive areas. We have the capability of working in most all terrains, including mountainous, flat land and swamp conditions and also have experience with aerial lifting by helicopter.
